Beth Wins Two International Art Awards From Camelback Gallery in 2023

Winning Camelback Gallery’s “Bold Abtracts” Finalist Award in April, 2023 was Beth’s first foray in entering a Juried art competition on an International level.

She created “Bright Fire” using fluid acrylics and a hairdryer to blow the colors in all directions to mimic a magical fire.

Always a surprise, fluid acrylics promise neverending possibilities in creating movement that can’t really be achieved an other way.

The trick is to keep the colors mingling and stopping just short of making mud. It’s a very fine line…..and so fun!

Beth won her second Finalist Award in Camelback Gallery’s “Flower Power” Exhibition in May, 2023 for her “Ginko Gold” mixed media collage.

She used prints she mono-printed with a Gelli plate and then painstakingly applied the leaves with tweezers to a cradled wood panel.

With a fine rigger brush, she applied turquoise, magenta, yellow, black and white acylic paint to give the illusion of depth. The leaves appear to be dancing!
